VOLBEAT 7/10 At The Grove In Anaheim
From the first day I started playing this band over the airwaves back in ’09, I have seen nothing but incredible progress taking over the U.S audience. They just recently scored their second #1 radio hit, and fans everywhere cant get enough of this Denmark Metal band. I saw many familiar faces in the Volbeat crew changing the stage over. It was draped in black and gold with logos from their latest album, “Beyond Heaven/Above Hell”. After the crew cleared, Michael Poulsen’s wife, Lina, brought a small cup of (Elvis) tea and set it on the drum riser next to Michael’s bottle of Jack. As soon as she was off stage the intro track Born To Raise Hell from Motorhead kicked in, and it was go time. Read more [+]

I wasn’t sure what to expect being that this was my first “Metal” show in Orange County. Walking up to the Grove in Anaheim I could see the parking lot littered with black T-shirts with fans blaring HELLYEAH and Volbeat while trying to chug the rest of their pre-show drinks before entering the venue.
