Breaking Benjamin hit the stage in Missoula as the headliners for the first annual Blaze Backyard BBQ. Check out the photos from the live set here!
Breaking Benjamin closed out an amazing concert day ahead of Avatar, St. Asonia, and Avatar. As the sun went down and the band kicked off their set, it became apparent that Ben Burnley could very well be the nicest guy in Rock.
One song into the set, Ben noticed a young girl in the very front of the crowd with her mom. The girl was a bit scared and Ben could tell. He stopped the set to tell the kid that she was breaking his heart to see her scared like that. Ben climbed right off the stage and went right up to her and the mother to say hello and console her. I’ve honestly never seen anything like that. He invited them both on stage if they wanted, although the girl seemed content to hang out up front. As the songs went on Ben made sure to keep checking on her to make sure she was ok. All I could think was “this is how I want rock music to be represented”.
As far as the live set goes, it was perfect. Personally, I’m more of an old school B.B fan, and hearing Polyamorous and other older songs really hit home for me. The band even did a breakdown of popular riffs from Nirvana, Tool, and more. The crowd LOVED every minute of it. The set was filled with hits, and everyone knew the words. It was the perfect mix and perfect band to close out the evening.
