3IOB is one of the very few Metal bands (in my opinion) that is keeping traditional NWOBHM sound alive. One look at Cam Pipes and you wouldn’t think the high notes of the days of Judas Priest and Saxon were part of his singing style, but they sure as hell are.
When I first watched 3IOB open up for Slipknot in Seattle, I knew there was something different. Instead of jumping on some metal trend like screamo, hardcore, deathcore etc.. They stuck to the Metal roots. The original style that started it all. Don’t forget to pick up the new 3IOB album (released through Century Media) out now, “Long Live Heavy Metal”.
