First of all, if you don’t own a copy of the “Black Waltz” from Avatar, what the hell are you doing?! If you remember, this is the new Swedish metal band I start jamming for you during the Rockstar Radio “Heavy Set” back in February.
Avatars sound/style is like nothing I have ever heard. One minute its hammering death metal and the next you have a country style rockabilly edge kicking into the chorus. It’s very diverse and it’s very awesome. Everything about Avatar brings a new style to Metal. It’s not so overpowering and aggressive that you can’t just put on the album and listen, ya know? It’s chaotic, but clean. Don’t get me wrong though, one look at a video and your freaked the f*ck out. If the look doesn’t grab you right away, the sound sure as hell will!

June 26, 2012 at 8:24 amI definitely preefr soul music You can actually appreciate the artists’ voice and the lyrics are more meaningful. There’s a few rock songs i like though.
