When Revolver Magazine does an award show, they don’t hold back.  This years “Golden Gods” was no different. After attending the last two, I knew there was going to be a ton of surprises in store, and Revolver delivered. During Trivium’s set, Rob Flynn of Machine Head, and Corey Taylor of Slipknot/Stone Sour jumped on stage to cover Metallica’s “Creeping Death”!  Hell even Johnny f*ckin Depp was on hand to jam with Marilyn Manson! From the Black Carpet to the encore, the buzz is it was another epic award show! Once again this year Revolver put the voting into the fans hands, and this is who you voted as winners!

Obviously there were a couple of upsets, but that’s what you get when you put the voting in the fans hands.  And that’s something that I really love about this award ceremony. There isn’t a panel of judges or voters that don’t know a damn thing about rock or metal. It’s up to the bands and the fans to take control and rally for these awards.
